Three friends — Coach B, Ed, and Charles who all met through work (2016), hit it off early. Over time, we realized that although we like golf, golf doesn’t necessarily like us. We don’t take ourselves too seriously and we find that the time we hang out off the course is even more important than the time we’re on the course.

So we formalized The Old Men Golf Club as a place for us and those like us. We enjoy playing from the senior tees, but we also enjoy playing baseball, pickleball, hanging out at coffee shops, and good eats.

We try to do a golf-getaway trip each year to Legends Golf Resort in Myrtle Beach SC. We’ve invited others to join us — some who still don’t qualify as “old” but who don’t mind hanging with the OGs. In fact, our first new member was Johnny, who isn’t old enough to play from the Senior Tees, but fit right in and has been a member since year 2 (2017).

This is truly a no-judgment zone. If someone is having a good round, or even a great shot - we applaud ‘em. If they’re having a bad round - or shanking em off the tee box, we leave ‘em alone and get em a drink at the 19th hole, and live to fight on another day. It really is that simple.
